Ahhhhh, tis the time for aspiring musicians to begin tooting their horns. My oldest has decided to enroll in band.
Rodney played violin in school last year, but violin isn't offered at his current school. Rodney's next choice was drums. I reminded him that his school is small and may not offer drums. Gavan overheard this and informed me that the Beatles only had four people in their band and they had a drummer.
A week prior to the first band class the music teacher required interested students to attempt to make sound from various instruments and called it 'try-outs'. After band tryouts my enthusiastic child showed me his scorecard. Next to the saxophone was an 'A'. I congratulated him and told him how his mother and both of his grandmothers all play the saxophone. He smirked and replied, "The 'A' is for avoid."
So what will Rodney be playing? The flute.
Yep, that's our little Romeo. He should have plenty of opportunities to flirt.
